# Rate limits

Board and page keys may make **120 requests a minute per key**. Over it, the answer is `429` with
a `Retry-After` header in seconds:

```

Wait that long, then retry. Loading many records? Send [batches of up to 500 rows](/boards/read-and-write#add-many-rows)
— one request each — instead of a request per row.

Reading a large board? [Page through it](/boards/read-and-write#read-the-board) with `limit` up to 1000.
