# Delete an unpublished draft

DESTRUCTIVE and permanent: deletes a workflow draft that never published. A workflow with any version is refused — its runs are the record of a machine acting inside the workspace and they are not allowed to go. Retire a published rule with `patch_workflows_id` `{"status": "archived"}` instead.

Access class: `workspace:admin`.
