# Forgive an instalment

Waives one instalment: it stops being owed and stops counting towards the schedule's outstanding balance. Body: an optional `reason` (or `notes`), APPENDED to the instalment's notes rather than written over them. Legal from scheduled or missed. Reach for it when the desk decides not to collect; `post_payments_id_reverse` is for a receipt that was booked and has to be unbooked.

Access class: `workspace`.
