# Delete a credit record

Deletes one credit record from a deal's underwriting tab. `:family` is credit_memo, decision or business_research and anything else is a 404; `:id` names the record itself, so the deal is not repeated in the path. A credit MEMO goes only while it is still a draft, and only for a ledger writer — once it has been through review it is the record of a decision and stays — while a decision or a piece of business research is a real delete, with the timeline entry as what survives. Deals page only.
