# Delete a thread

Deletes an internal thread and every message and participant on it, permanently. Reach for `post_definitions_key_threads_threadId_resolve` when a conversation is simply finished: resolving keeps the transcript readable and can be reopened, and this cannot. Answers 204.

Access class: `def:read`.
