# Remove a status from a page

Removes a status from a page's vocabulary outright. Prefer `patch_definitions_key_statuses_statusId` with `isActive: false` when the workspace has simply stopped using the word: that keeps the records already standing on it and can be undone, while this leaves nothing behind. A status id not on this page is a 404. Workspace admin.

Access class: `def:admin`.
