# Archive a record

Takes one record off the live board and keeps it: its cells, its timeline, its files and its documents all stay, and `POST .../reactivate` puts it back in the position it left from. Reach for this, not `rows/delete`, whenever a deal or lead is finished with rather than a mistake — the delete destroys the record's whole trail. Already-archived is not found.

Access class: `def:read`.
