# Run business research on a deal

Opens a business-research file on the company behind the deal and files it as an ordinary `business_research` credit record, so `GET .../credit-records/business_research` lists it immediately. The model has no ability to look anything up, so what it writes is a FIRST PASS over the deal's own material with every unsupported field left empty — the row is filed as `working`, never `done`, and the notes say what still has to be checked. Spends the workspace's OpenAI budget; refuses with a sentence when there is no key, and answers 409 when the deal names no business.
