# Read my day

THE FIRST CALL for "what does my day look like", "what's on today", "what do I need to do today", "anything I'm missing" — one read answering all three halves of it: the caller's own meetings today, the tasks on their plate that are due today or already overdue, and what changed since yesterday on the records they are assigned to. Prefer it over calling get_calendar_events, get_tasks and get_activity separately: those three answer one piece each and each one costs a round trip (the same question took five tool calls and 17 seconds before this route existed). Pass timeZone as an IANA name (Europe/London) so the day is cut at the person's own midnight; with none it answers a UTC day and says so. Reach for the three separate reads instead when the question names a window other than today, somebody else's work, or one particular record.
