# Download a file

Mint a short-lived signed download URL (15 minutes) for one file by id, loose or pinned to a record, and answer it with the file's name and content type. The bytes and the storage path never leave the server. Refused with 409 while a document is locked waiting for its unlocked canonical PDF to be saved.

Access class: `workspace`.
