# Delete a file

Soft-delete one file by id: it stops being listed and stops being downloadable, while the row stays so its storage key can never be re-minted. The deletion is filed on the workspace's activity feed with the file's name and size. Works for any file in the workspace, loose or pinned to a record.

Access class: `workspace`.
