# Read the cells an import column could not, with the model

The importer's last resort for ONE column: send `header`, the `kind` of the column the cells are going into (number, currency, percent, date, checkbox, select, text…), its `choices` when it is a select, and `cells` — each `{row, value, beside}` where `beside` is the row's other cells by header for context. Answers a `value` per row in the column's own form (plain digits, an ISO date, true/false, one of the choices spelled as given) or an empty string to leave it blank, with a confidence and a reason; every value is checked against the kind and anything the column could not hold comes back blank. Nothing is written — put the readings into the rows you then send to `post_boards_import`. At most 200 cells per call. With no model connected the answer is 200 with no cells and `modelProblem` saying why.
