# Write many rows' cells at once

Merge cells into many rows of one board in a single request — the batch form of PATCH /v1/boards/:id/rows/:rowId, and what a grid paste, fill-down or cleared selection sends. Body is {rows: [{id, cells: {columnId: text}}]}, at most 1000 rows; each row is merged, so a column a row leaves out keeps what it had. Answers {updated, failed: [{id, error}]} — a row the rules refuse fails alone and the rest still land.

Access class: `board:write`.
